Sleep Studies

In order to get a better understanding of your sleep quality and conditions, our providers carry out a simple yet precise sleep analysis known as a home sleep test (HST). Through one a third party sleep-study lab, the equipment can be set up in the comfort of your own home in order to analyze a whole night's sleep.

What does the process look like?

Orders & Scheduling

Once a provider suspects sleep apnea, an order is placed for a home sleep test. Shorty after, you'll receive a call to pick up the equipment from their main office.

Equipment Setup

The set up is fairly simple and minimally restrictive of your usual sleep positions. A belt is placed around the chest equipped with a sensor. Attached to the same belt is an oximeter you wrap around your index (like a bandaid) and a plastic tube near the nasal region.

Data Analysis

After two days of data has been recorded, the company will fax us the results. Your provider will then analyze the graphs and data then determine the appropriate measures.

Treatment Plan

In your follow-up, the provider will explain the results as well as a treatment plan. Common treatments include a CPAP breathing aid, mandibular advancement device (mouthpiece) or surgical approaches.
